Shopping is such fun

As the title suggests I had fun shopping today.

DH and I went op shopping and in the process I bought knitting needles, yarn and a pattern book.

I came home and gloated over my recent purchases while I finished the 2nd Patonyle sock then later went to Spotlight and lo and behold, I don't know what happened but I walked out after having purchased another 3 balls of Patonyle sock yarn. This time in blue so I hope it knits up as well as the pink does.

I have started another pair of socks for miss almost 3 as she has decided that she doesn't like bought socks as much as knitted ones. This will make her 3rd pair so far but she's decided that she would like a pair of blue ones as well.

Bugsy I have posted a photo of Tuppence tonight for you to see my beautiful wuss. She's not well of late so won't be with us for much longer. We also have a dog (Patches) who is a springer spaniel cross and she is 9 yrs old.

Until next time keep on knitting.

They won again

The Roos won again. It's good when they are on a winning streak.

On the knitting front I have finished the first pink, stripy Patonyle sock and it came up really good. (pickies later)

I have also done a bit more on the front of my cardigan. Boy is it taking a while. I suppose it doesn't help when I concentrate so much of the time on socks, socks and more socks.

Did you get that girls. SOCKS, SOCKS and more SOCKS.

Hopefully tomorrow I will get the 2nd of my socks finished or nearly finished any way.

Until next time keep on knitting.

Mine, mine, mine.

I have started knitting the toe-up socks in the pretty pink Patonyle and they are coming up looking quite yummy and they are all mine, mine, mine.

I have posted pickies below to give everyone an idea of how they are coming along.

The stripes look even better in real life.

What do you think Katt?

Are you going to Spotlight tonight or are you going to leave it until tomorrow morning?

Until next time keep on knitting.

Another pair down

As the title suggests I have finished another pair of socks.

The pair of mens toe-up socks are finished and I have started another pair for myself out of the pink Patonyle sock yarn.

They look really good Katt and the pattern of the yarn is coming out as stripes of varying sizes.

I will tell more later and maybe have some pickies.

Until next time keep on knitting

Finished at last.

The shawl from HELL is finished at last. It has been a labour of hate. It was an order through the shop I do craft for and when I had half finished the pattern the lady picked out she decided that she didn't like the pattern so I frogged about a months work and designed a new one that she liked. i hope she likes the finished article because I'M NOT DOING IT AGAIN.

I have posted afew pickies of the shawl as well as apickie of my toe-up socks. They came out really well.

I went to the LYS today and guess what? I came out with more sock yarn. AGAIN it said "Buy me. Your feet will be sooooo warm when you knit me into more toe-up socks."

On the knitting front I am about half way up the pair of men's toe up socks in light brown. (Pickies when they're finished.)

Until next time keep on knitting.

I forgot

Hey Shaz I forgot to put it in my last post but when their good, their good.

THE MIGHT ROOS WON AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cathy

Oh well!!!

Oh well! Not much to report on the knitting front of late.

I have finished the back of my cardigan in Panda Spark Plug. This is a 100% Acrylic yarn that is made in Turkey.

I have also finished a pair of cotton toe-up socks for missy and am onto the 2nd sock of my pair of toe-up socks.

The ordered black crochet shawl only needs the ends sewn in and the fringe is to be made and then put on.

I must also get to some of the UFO's that are sitting around my house as well. (cross stitch, knitting, crochet & quilting)

Until next time keep on knitting

Toe-up socks

Hi Shaz, Katt & Suzi.

I have just posted photo's of a lot of socks that have recently been completed.

The is also a photo of the almost completed 1st toe-up sock. Turning the heel was a bit more fiddly than knitting my other sock patterns but deffinitely worth a try.

Until next time keep on knitting.

Up the Roos

Shazza and I are both fans of the Roos AFL team and they won today for the 3rd time in a row. Whoo Hoo!!!!

Well back to the knitting. I have finished my sock with the Hot Socks yarn. ( Pics. later. Still in camera.)

I have also knitted a pair of socks for dear sweety in a lovely aqua that a neighbour gave to me. (Guess what? Pics later. Still in camera.)

Today I have also knitted a pair of baby socks using the left overs of the hot socks and there's still some left of the 100g that I bought.

At present I am knitting a pair of toe-up socks from a pattern found at Socks around the world called "Sock it to me plain toe-up socks for the family.
I am about half way along the 1st foot and they are coming along well even though it was a bit tricky starting.

Oh well! I suppose I had better get back to the knitting and watch the blessing of Charles and Camilla's wedding. Ho hum.

Until next time keep on knitting.

Yarn, yarn & more yarn......

Well the yarn swap at SnB went really well. Shaz and Katt bought some very nice yarn from their stashes to add to my donation. It was a sight to see.

I think we were happy with the yarn that we came home with (I know I was).

I score some lovely Patonyle sock yarn, some Sirdar Terry look, Big baby yarn, Heirloom Merino Magic, Bendigo Rustic 8 ply & some ?2 or 3 ply black wool for sock making.

I am looking forward to the next yarn swap that looks like happening in June.

On the knitting front I have finished the pink and cream socks for the 4 yr old gd and one of the brown and tan (I decided not to do cream accents) for the 8 yr old gs and have almost finished the second sock for myself in Hot Socks yarn purchased from Tasmanian Wool Supplies in Moonah.

I will post photos of finished articles at a later date.

Until next time keep on knitting.

Guess what I got????

We went to Hobart today to take our little sweety down to see her nan and I raided the lys's and guess what I found?

SOCK YARN!!!!!!

I got 2 balls of Hot Socks at one store in Moonah.

That was only after I bought 10 balls (YES!!!! I couldn't help myself as it said "BUY ME" so of course I did buy the whole packet) of Patons Big Baby 3 ply baby yarn which I have been trying to get out our lys.

Until next time keep on knitting.
