The Knitter's Last Stand

A knitting we will go.

I have been very remiss and not posted for almost a week. *Slap on wrist.*

I have a good excuse (well 2 excuses really.)

1. I have been looking after children.

2. I have been knitting my little heart out.

I have knitted a childs vest and beanie from the yarn that I found while I was op shopping. (pickies below)

I have also been knitting a shawl from a book that I found while I was op shopping. (pickies also below)

Also on the go is a childs pair of socks from the pink Patonyle. (I have half finished the 2nd sock)

Today I received the new colour charts from Bendigo woollen mills and what to buy. OH BOY!!!!!!!!

Should I buy now or when I hit Bendigo in August????????????

The yarn says buy me now but I think my fellow S'n'Bers will tell you that I have a very extensive stash now so I just may have to knit some of that up first.

Hey Katt. I bought a PINK leapster on e-bay today. Only $130.00 including postage so little miss almost 3 will be surprised on her birthday.

I thinks thats all for now sooooooooooooo.

Until next time keep on knitting.

  • Wow you have been busy. I am very impressed. I love the pattern on the baby shawl - was it hard to do? It looks very complex. What's a leapster?

  • The shawl is very easy to do if you have experience with lace patterns.

To make it grow quickly it is qorked on a 4mm circular needle.

A leapster is a game console for children (part of the leap pad range). It is used by children to play games but also as an education tool to teach children their alphabet, numbers etc.

  • Do we ever have enough stash? No way there is always room for more, buy now from the card and then when you get to Bendigo you can hit the back room.

  • Thanks everyone for your advice.

I am still undecided what to do as am still saving for the holiday/conference at Alice Springs.
